The Donkey in the Tiger-skin
Code:   (LANGUAGE & MARK)

The passage shown above is in Sanskrit. It is a story about a donkey disguising himself in the skin of a tiger. It has been claimed that Sanskrit is the most beautiful script on earth. Not only that, it's a very versatile script as well, with many letters for all possible sounds and combinations of consonants. In theory it would be possible to write most world languages, phonetically!, in Sanskrit.

The Language and Mark Making Series consists of many paintings. If you would like to see all of these paintings together and read more about them and the fascinating phenomenon of language please click on Language & Mark Making Series.
