"I look at your paintings as serious mandalas that will help me in my spiritual development"
Lee Daoussis
And that is one of the intentions of the art you create - people may be afraid of their depths, but capitivated by the beauty of the imaging that comes through your work, they forget to be afraid. The paintings awake an ancient memory of the sacred relationship between human and nature and instead of being afraid, a yearning for a return to that state of grace calls out to them; that then translates into 'how can such beauty be frightening?' So much is possible when fear is removed.

"What I love about Imelda Almqvist's work and working with Imelda is the total trust I have in her. I am able to give Imelda the briefest of descriptions of what I want, and then have total trust for her to come back with something that is above and beyond what I had in my vision. Her work not only touches my soul it stretches it to greater places, this is an amazing gift."
